Visiting my sister and her family

I've spent the last several days staying with my sister Katie and her husband and their 8 month old son, Caleb. It's been beneficial since my initial packing wasn't very well thought out. This has given me a chance to make things a little more accessible. Should be leaving Thursday, maybe Friday to work my way through St. Louis to Kansas City to Denver.

It's a little bit sad, thinking that next time I see my nephew, he'll be walking and talking and totally forgotten me and the fun we've had.

My first post

Just making a post to make sure I know how it works before I officially begin. Hope everyone is well and thanks in advance for reading my ramblings.

I'm undecided how intimate I will make this. Usually when I write it is my mind and heart's innermost thoughts and longings, but as this is public, I may just make it a where I'm at, what I'm doing, how great/sucky it is, etc. That seems more appropriate, but I probably wouldn't even enjoy reading my own stuff if that's all it is. I guess it will depend on how open I'm feeling when I write.
